Melidoni is a small Cretan mountain village in the Apokoronos Mountains, 30 km southeast of the city of Chania. It lies at an altitude of 450 meters and is known for its verdant landscape. The village's large, striking church, with its dome and two towers, is truly unique. From the square surrounding the church, you have wonderful views over the Apokoronos Mountains and Souda Bay. There is a tavern in the village, and all kinds of amenities are nearby.
