This is a popular area and many people are looking for properties for sale in Horafakia (Chorafakia). It is a small, quiet village on the Akrotiri Peninsula, halfway between the villages of Kalathas and Tersanas, 15 km northeast of the historic city of Chania. Due to its elevated position, it offers excellent sunset and sea views across Chania Bay as well as the mountains. The village is less than half an hour from Souda port. The area is an ideal place to relax and unwind and has numerous shops, mini markets, taverns and schools, all within walking distance. Additional shopping and general amenities such as large supermarkets, banks, post office, travel agency etc. are available in Kounoupidiana, just a five minute drive away. The beautiful sandy beaches of Kalathas and Tersanas are just a minute's drive from Horafakia village.
