Kissamos is a town 37 km west of the center of Chania. It is also known as Kastelli, after the Venetian castle that was located there. Surrounded by beautiful nature and beautiful beaches, Kissamos is known for its agricultural products such as wine and olive oil. In Kissamos there is a port and a fishing harbor with a regular ferry service to Peloponnese. There is a regular public bus service to Chania. Chania Airport is 56 km away and Souda Port is 43 km away. In addition, most of the famous sights and beaches are in the area, such as Elafonissi, Falassarna and Balos at Cape Gramvoussa.
