Kissamos is a town 37 km west of the center of Chania. It is also known as Kastelli, after the Venetian castle that was located there. Kissamos is surrounded by beautiful nature and beautiful beaches and is known for its agricultural products such as wine and olive oil. In Kissamos there is a port and a fishing port with a regular ferry service to Peloponnese. There is a regular public bus service to Chania. Chania Airport is 56 km away and Souda Port is 43 km away. In addition, most of the famous sights and beaches are located in the area, such as Elafonissi, Falassarna and Balos at Cape Gramvoussa.
The Kissamos region covers the northwestern part of Chania on the island of Crete. Kissamos is also known for its agricultural products such as wine and olive oil.
