Kalo Chorio is a pretty village about 10km from the cosmopolitan town of Agios Nikolaos. Nearby is the larger resort area of Istron with its many shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. There are several attractive beaches near Istron. There are also numerous small archaeological sites in the nearby area, dating from the Stone Age, through the Minoan period to the Roman period, including Vrokastro and Priniatikos Pyrgos.
