Chersonisos (Hersonisos, Chersonissos, Chersonisou) is a very popular town. Mainly because of its unique beauty, the dreamy beaches, the beautiful landscapes, the old town with its many traditional buildings. It is also known as one of the best organized tourist resorts in Crete. With first class hotels, water parks, excellent restaurants and bars, commercial streets with many shops, etc. During the day you can enjoy beautiful beaches or water parks, have a coffee on the coastal road, visit the local archaeological sites, stroll through the villages of Ano Hersonissos, Piskopiano and Koutouloufari, hike in the gorges of the Avdou valley, visit the cool Lassithi Plateau and much more.
