Armeni is a town in the municipality of Rethymno on the Greek island of Crete. Armeni is known for the archaeological site of the late Minoan cemetery about 1,5 kilometers north of the town. In Armeni you can see several dozen burial chambers of very different sizes and depths. Some are over 10 meters long and several meters deep. The landscape and plants in the cemetery in Armeni are also interesting, especially when the orchids and other flowers bloom in spring.
Armeni is a typical Cretan village located on a thoroughfare. In the center there is a nice tavern and a medium-sized supermarket. At the exit of the village in this direction there is a very good bakery on the left.
