The history of the village of Argoulio begins around 1304, during the Venetian period. So the Venetians had built a big house there in which a rich man lived with his family and the rest around him.
Today Argoulio has around 75 permanent residents who carry on the traditions of their place from generation to generation. There are 2 churches in the settlement, Agia Paraskevi, which dates back to the 14th century and is characterized by its frescoes, and Panagia, built in 1950 and restored by locals shortly before demolition. -
